Pear Champagne Cocktail Recipe
Created by Michael Lomonaco, executive chef at New York City’s Center Bar, this cocktail is perfect if you’ve made health related New Year’s Resolutions.
champagne or sparkling wine
sliced partway through on the bias
ripe Bartlett pear
light brown sugar
ground ginger or 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
Pour all ingredients into a mixing glass filled with ice.
Stir gently and strain into a flute; garnish with pear slice.
How to make Pear Syrup
Peel and core pear. Bring all ingredients to a boil, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, uncovered.
Strain and let cool.
Pear syrup is simple to make and adds a fruity sweetness to this delicious cocktail.
